Rebecca has over 20 years of specialized experience in the areas of estate and tax planning, trust administration, business succession, and charitable planning. She has broad knowledge in generating strategies that include minimizing risk, while focusing on managing and efficiently transferring a client’s wealth.
She received her Juris Doctorate in 2002 from the University of New Mexico and was admitted to the Kentucky Bar, the U.S. Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court. In 2019, she was admitted to the Colorado Bar. Her undergraduate work was completed at the University of New Mexico in 1997 where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Sociology.
Rebecca began her professional career as a partner at Ackerson & Yann, PLLC Law Firm. She worked with individuals and families creating complete estate, business and succession plans, as well as serving as counsel for non-profit organizations and foundations. Most recently, she served as a Senior Vice President and Managing Director for U.S. Bank’s Private Wealth Management, leading a team of wealth professionals responsible for providing analysis and advanced planning strategies to help clients work toward their wealth goals.
Professionally, she is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Colorado Bar Association and the Louisville Estate Planning Council. She is also a member of Leadership Louisville’s class of 2020.
Rebecca is active in the community serving as an executive board member for Maryhurst, on the board of Bridgehaven, and most recently on the board of the Louisville Chapter of the American Red Cross and Gilda’s Club, as her passions lead her to organizations that focus on the disadvantaged and underserved in the community.
